difficult to keep connected and pain to reconnect
TROUBLE CONNECTING? open the Hue website, sign in , go to “My bridge”, go to “show More”, scan down to “internal IP address” and copy that, then go to the Hue app and select Preferences, choose Connect icon, paste the IP address and hit scan.
This doesn’t always work and many times I’ve simply had to reboot my computer and the bridge to link them back up which is a royal pain. I’ve been running it with Mavericks, so I think some of the connectivity issues are elsewhere for the other users.
The least Philips could do would be to put that IP address somewhere on the opening web page once you’ve signed in so you don’t have to go through 4 steps to get to it and copy it every time.
It does work once you get it to link. It is not a particularly robust app, though.
